The annual District Cubs Carol Service was held on Monday Night(1st December) at Lifehouse Church in Chesterfield.

The theme for this year was ‘Remembering WWI at Christmas’, hosted by 1st Calow Cub Pack.

Cubs, Leaders and Parents were treated to an insight into the goodwill that was expressed at Christmas time in the Trenches by both Allied and German Soldiers, alongside the traditional hymns, and something a little different with a rendition of ‘Stille Nacht’ (Silent Night) in German.

The collection from the service has been donated to the Royal British Legion in Chesterfield, supporting their work rehabilitating Servicemen and women through the Poppy Appeal and other fundraising campaigns

Thank You to 1st Calow Cubs for hosting this year’s Carol Service and Lifehouse Church for being so welcoming and providing a fantastic venue.
